Header Linked List: Grounded and Circular Header Lists
Header Linked List ek aisi linked list hoti hai jiske starting me ek special extra node attached hota hai jise Header Node (Dummy Node) kaha jata hai. Header node actual list data items ka hissa nahi hota; yeh list ke baare me global metadata ya summary information store karta hai.
Types of Header Linked Lists
- Grounded Header List: Header node se start hone wali linear list jiska aakhiri node
NULLko point karta hai. - Circular Header List: Aakhiri node ka next pointer wapas
Header Nodeko point karta hai.
Grounded Header List: [ Count: 3 | Next ] ---> [ 10 | Next ] ---> [ 20 | Next ] ---> [ 30 | NULL ] (Header Node) Circular Header List: +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ | | v | [ Count: 3 | Next ] ---> [ 10 | Next ] ---> [ 20 | Next ] ---> [ 30 | Next ] (Header Node)
Advantages of Header Linked Lists
- Edge Case Elimination: Regular linked list me empty list check aur head insertion/deletion ke liye special
if (HEAD == NULL)conditions lagani padti hain. Header list me HEAD kabhiNULLnahi hota, jisse code clean aur bug-free rehta hai. - Instant Metadata Access: Total node count, minimum value, ya maximum value header node me O(1) me mil jaati hai.
Agli post me hum cover karenge Polynomial Representation and Addition using Linked List.
